SUCCESSFUL TEAM OR SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS MODEL? PART II
Having a business owner's mindset Hildreth and I have taken on the philosophy that in order for us to truly be successful we needed to create not only a strong team but also a strong business model/system. Our ultimate goal is to create a business that is successful and saleable. The reason that this has been so important to us is because we have gotten to know several Las Vegas Realtors® who are extremely successful and their idea of retirement from real estate is through their personal investments not their actual business. Most agents fall into the category of Self Employed and not Business Owners. This may be a surprise to some. Many times agents freely tell their friends and families that they own their own Real Estate Company with out realizing that they are an employee in their own company. You become a true business owner when you can walk away form your business for a month and when you get back your business never skipped a beat. I am basing my definitions of self-employed and business owner on the book "7 Habits of Highly Successful People". Also a necessary read is "E-myth".
