The modern settlement of
Las Vegas began in the 1850's when Mormon missionaries began developing the agriculture of Las Vegas and calling
Las Vegas home. The Valley that we know as Las Vegas was en root for those traveling to California from the east. The Pacific Union Railroad made its debut in 1905. During the same year Pacific Union auctioned off large parcels of land, which was a beautiful beginning to Las Vegas.
