Our Marketing department contacted a lady who is an Internet lead. She lives out of state and is an executor of an estate for a homes in Las Vegas. She said that she currently has this home listed with a Las Vegas real estate agent in whom she is not pleased with. The agent doesn't return calls, is very rude and belligerent, left her home and two other open and unattended during a three home Open house in which the agent was running between each home at the same time, and says that they will only place a sign in the front yard and flyers for marketing and nothing else other than the Las Vegas MLS. the worse thing about all of this is that the Agent again is very rude and uncaring. She called and asked for any advice as to what she could do. I instructed her that she should call the division and the broker of that agent. She said that she has done both. She left a message at the division and the broker turned her back to the Agent to handle the situation. She wants to cancel the listing agreements and the agent told her that the only way to get out of the contract is to pay a $750 cancellation fee, which is not in the contract anywhere. I again directed her to the division.
Does this lady have any way out of this contract?
Please understand that I have no intentions of relaying this advice to her because I don't want to get caught up in this mess but I ask for my own FYI. Thank You!
